1 – Navajo Kingman Turquoise Sterling Squash Blossom This is an excellent Navajo Native American Indian Old Pawn Silver squash blossom necklace with wonderful Kingman Birdseye Turquoise. The piece shows a double strand of scalloped round silver beads strung on necklace cable. The necklace shows eight fluted blossoms and a great squash pendant with all rare Kingman Birdseye Turquoise Mine stones in a gem quality. The piece shows well preserved good condition and displays wonderfully. The squash is 3″x2 7/8″. Necklace is 21.5″L overall.

2 – Zuni Petit Point Turquoise & Sterling Bracelet This is an excellent turquoise Petit Point and Sterling Silver bracelet or cuff from Zuni Native American Indian silversmith, DLW. The piece shows excellent Blue Gem Mine gem quality turquoise in a very desirable Petit-Point design. The bracelet is hallmarked, “DLW Sterling”. The piece has very good quality and shows good condition. The box measurements are 2 5/8″L x 2″W x 2″H. The bracelet has an inside circumference wrist size of 6.25″.

3 – Early 2.25 Carat Yellow Quartz Gold Pendant This is an antique early Yellow-Tan Quartz gemstone yellow gold necklace pendant. The piece was appraised by Greenleafs Jewelry Inc. in Bozeman, MT as being the following: One yellow quartz pendant. Yellow Gold, 28.85mm x 9.40mm, oval shape pendant mounting with rope edge and milgrained bail bezel set with one 1435mm x 6.85mm (approximately 2.25 carat), oval, AA quality, yellow-tan quartz stone. Valued at $390.00. This shows very good condition and comes with a copy of the appraisal shown in the pictures. Believed to be a rich 14k to 18k solid yellow gold.

4 – J. Jacobs Custom 440 Elk Horn Handle Knife This is a J. Jacobs custom made knife and leather scabbard from Montana. The blade is marked “440 Stainless” and “J. Jacobs Custom 440”. The knife features a beautiful elk horn handle that has been engraved with the image of an elk. The knife and scabbard are in good condition. The knife measures 9.5″ with a 4.5″ blade.

5 – Garys Custom Hunting Knife Stevensville Montana This is a custom hunting knife and scabbard made by Garys of Stevensville, Montana. The knife features a beautiful stag horn handle. The blade is marked “Garys Stevensville Montana”. The knife comes with tooled leather scabbard. The knife and scabbard are in good condition. The knife measures 8.5″ with a 4″ blade.

6 – Gerome Weinand Custom Bird Knife Lolo Montana This is a custom bird knife and leather scabbard made by Gerome Weinand of Lolo, Montana. The knife was made in the 1980’s and features a rosewood handle. The blade is marked “Weinand” and the scabbard is marked “Montana Americana”. The knife and scabbard are in good condition. The knife measures 7.5″ with a 3″ blade.

7 – Custom Skinner Knife Gerome Weinand Lolo Montana This is a custom skinner knife and scabbard made by Gerome Weinand of Lolo, Montana. The knife features a beautiful elk horn handle with a curved blade. The blade is marked “Weinand Lolo, MT.”. The Weinand knife and scabbard are in very good condition. The knife measures 7.5″ with a 3.5″ blade.

8 – Case XX Buffalo Skinner with Custom Sheath This is an early 1930-1940’s Case XX Buffalo Skinner 5″ fixed blade knife with walnut copper riveted handle. The knife comes with an excellent Case XX hand tooled leather sheath handcrafted by A.A.T. of Ennis, Montana (American 20th Century). The knife is in overall good condition with file markings and clean handle. Sheath is in excellent condition. Knife is overall 9 3/8″L with a 5.25″L blade. Knife and sheath are 10.25″L.

9 – Hopi Polychrome Pottery Vase Early to Mid 20th C. The lot features a Hopi Native American Indian pottery vase with polychrome painted geometric pattern. The piece is marked on the side, “Souvenir of Roosevelt, Utah.” The bottom is signed, “4.70 Hopi Pottery” in graphite. The piece is believed to be from the early to mid 20th century. This shows overall good condition with no visible cracks and much if not all of the original painted finish. The piece measures 9.25″H and 5″ diameter.

10 – Graflex “Speed Graphic” Press Camera & Accessories This is an early Graflex Speed Graphic press camera and accessories. The piece is from circa 1930-1940’s. The camera comes in the original hard case. Included with the camera is a flash setup, flash bulbs, film and film holders. The camera shows good condition. The bellows are intact with no damage. This is the same style of camera used by MGM portrait photographer Clarence Sinclair Bull, aka “The man who shot Garbo”. The hard case measures 9.5″ x 19.5″ and is 12″ tall.

11 – Antique Graduating Pearl & Sterling Necklace This is an original early American sterling silver and pearl necklace. The piece was appraised by Greenleafs Jewelry Inc. in Bozeman, MT as being the following: One pearl strand. Sterling silver pearl clasp attached to eighteen inches of knotted AA quality, cream color cultured pearls graduating in size from 3mm to 7mm. Totals of 98 pearls. Valued over $2,000. Excellent quality piece showing overall good condition. 19.5″L overall. Original appraisal pictured will be included with this piece.

12 – Early Vintage State of Idaho Reserve Police Badge This is a State of Idaho Reserve Police Badge showing an early vintage age. The piece shows a shield pattern with bald eagle holding a banner in its mouth across the top. The badge shows black enamel filled lettering and pin back. The badge appears to be brass construction with nickel silver plating. Measures 2.25″x1 5/8″W.

13 – Early 1900 Butte Montana Shamrock Copper Spurs The lot features a set of early 20th century Western cowboy spurs with an excellent mounted copper shamrock pattern. The spurs are believed to be from the Butte, Montana Mining town in the early 1900’s. Each spur shows diagonal mounted copper lines with a mounted copper shamrock and six sided shamrock copper rowels. The spurs are not hallmarked and show excellent quality construction. These come with leather spur straps. The spurs are in overall good condition with signs indicative of age. Each spur is 5.5″L x 4″W x 1″H with 3/4″ rowels.

14 – Framed Old Western Watch Fob Collection This is a framed watch fob collection. The collection includes 11 replica watch fobs with a medallion that reads “Tom Mix & Tony” and a photograph of Tom Mix. The fobs and photograph are in good condition. They have been professionally matted and framed. The frame measures 17.5″ x 21.5″.

15 – Montana Rough Riders Framed Presentation Medal This is a framed Montana Rough Riders presentation medal. The medal was awarded to members of the 3rd U.S. Volunteer Cavalry from Montana who served in the Spanish-American War. The medal has been framed with a print of a soldier wearing the medal and a plaque that reads “Montana Rough Riders 1898″. The frame measures 9.5″ x 11.5″.

16 – Navajo Old Pawn Silver & Turquoise Necklace This is an early Old Pawn Silver Navajo Native American Indian necklace. The piece shows excellent heavy construction round concho silver beads with fluted blossom beads and an excellent pendant showing a feather and studded design with Kingman Mine Turquoise stones. The piece shows overall good condition with very fine hand crafted construction. The pendant is 3″x2″. Necklace is 24″L. Each bead is approx. 11/32″x11/32”.

17 – Antique Stagecoach Driver Bear Fur Coat This lot features an antique stagecoach drivers bear fur coat. This is a real bear fur coat. The coat features a gorgeous exterior of black bear fur. In order to battle off the cold stagecoach drivers wore heavy fur coats like this one to stay warm though the 19 th century. The coat is in good condition for its age. Measures: 40″ L x 23″ W

18 – Crow Beaded Harness Leather Belt 19th Century This is a exquisitely beaded harness leather Crow Native American Indian belt. The piece is from the 19th Century and displays very well. The belt is constructed of heavy harness saddle leather with excellent 19th century glass trade seed beadwork in sky blue, semi-transparent red, medium green, greasy yellow, chalk white, black, dark green, and semi-transparent dark blue. The belt has Indian tanned hide ties on each end. The piece is in overall very well preserved good condition with only slight bead loss. Measures overall 32.25″L (without hide ties) x 3″W. Excellent early piece. Provenance: From a large private Native American Indian collection in Billings, Montana.

19 – Crow Horn Crazy Beaded Effigy Flask 19th-20th C. This si an early fully crazy beaded steer horn flask from the Crow Native American Indians. The piece is from the 19th to the 20th century. The piece shows the steer horn flask covered in early trade clothe canvas with excellent crazy pattern beadwork in all 19th century glass trade beads. The beads show such rare colors as chalk white, semi-transparent green, Cheyenne pink, semi-transparent rose, semi- transparent amber, black, sky blue, and many more. The piece shows a braided three strand fully beaded strap and looped beaded fringe on each end. The flask cap is canvas trade clothe fully beaded. Measures overall 6.5″W x 6.75″H with top strap. Horn is 1.5″W at opening.

20 – Sioux Beaded Sheath Russell Trade Knife 19th C. This is an excellent Sioux Native American Indian beaded knife sheath and Russell Green River Works trade knife from the mid to late 19th century. The Russell Green River Works knife shows a Buffalo Skinner pattern with wood handle, the knife is from circa 1840-1880. The sheath shows a parfleche lining with Indian tanned hide having exquisite 19th century glass trade seed beads with a greasy yellow base and traditional patterns in Cheyenne pink, dark blue, semi-transparent green, semi-transparent rose, and sky blue. The scabbard has a braided parfleche rawhide top strap and tanned hide fringe. The piece also shows modernly added tin jingle cones with violet dyed Buffalo hair. This is an excellent early beaded scabbard with rare Buffalo Skinner RGRW knife. Knife is 10 5/8″L with 6.25″L blade. Sheath is 20″L with fringe x 3.25″W. Rare Greasy Yellow Base.

21 – Original Ace Powell Cowboy on Horseback Etching This is an original Ace Powell etching that shows a cowboy on horseback riding through a storm. Ace Powell was an accomplished Montana artist who worked in oil, bronze, watercolor and etching during his lifetime. This piece is an “Artist Proof” and has been signed by the artist. The etching is in good condition and has been professionally matted and framed. The frame measures 10.25″ x 12.25″.

22 – Original Ace Powell Western Etching This is an original Ace Powell Western etching. It shows a man driving his horse and hay cart. Ace Powell was an accomplished Montana artist who worked in oil, bronze, watercolor and etching during his lifetime. This piece is an “Artist Proof” and has been signed by the artist. The etching is in good condition and has been professionally matted and framed. The frame measures 12.25″ x 15.25″.

23 – Montana Made Pheasant Taxidermy Mount This lot features a Montana made pheasant taxidermy mount. The mount depicts two male pheasants mid combat, in a early fall field. The taxidermy is good quality and the piece is not suffering form shedding. The piece is in good condition for its age. Measures: 30″ H x 26 1/2″ W x 16 ” D

24 – Early Northern Plains Fur Trade Bowie Knife 19th This is an early Fur Trade Bowie Knife from the Northern Plains Native American Indians. The piece is from the 19th century. The knife shows a Bowie pattern forged metal with a two barred cross and cello hallmark. The knife has a brass etched finger guard hilt with excellent maple brass rivet grips. The piece comes with a harness saddle leather sheath having nickel or coin silver worked concho trade spots. Knife is 10 5/8″L with a 5.75″L blade. Knife and sheath are 10.75″L x 2 7/8″W.

24a – Navajo Crystal Eye Dazzler Rug 19th-20th Century This is an a wonderfully hand knotted 19th to 20th century wool trade rug from the Navajo Native American Indians. The piece has an excellent Crystal Eye Dazzler pattern in all wool with mineral dyed bright coloring of red, orange, tan, brown, blue/grey. The rug shows signs of early age, but overall displays well. Measures 1″x1″.

25 – Montana Antelope Shoulder Mount This is a Montana antelope shoulder mount. The taxidermy was done by a professional. The antelope shows impressive antlers with good curl and symmetry. The body shows good condition as well with little to no loss of fur. The mount measures:34″ H x 12″ D x 10″ W (From the Dean Yearout Estate)

26 – Moet et Chandon Dom Pérignon Champagne 1985 This is a rare original bottle of Moet et Chandon a Epernay Cuvee Dom Perignon Brut Champagne of a Vintage 1985. The bottle is unopened and in the original Vuvee Dom Perignon 1985 green box with gold lettering and label. The piece is the 750ML size and shows overall good condition. 1985 was a classic Dom Perignon vintage and it is just now becoming mature. The wine has great finesse, classic length and bottle age richness and interest. The piece is scored at 96-98 by wine professionals. The champagne appears to be clear and well kept. The piece was kept in a climate control since being given as a wedding gift brand new. Unopened bottle. Bottle is 12”H x 3.75” diameter. Box is 12 3/8”L x 4.25”H x 4.25”W. 27 – Sokota Seed Corn Dealer Advertising Sign This is an original Sokota Seed Corn Dealer sgin. The sign shows a wonderful logo with the corn cob that reads “Sokota”. The lower right corner of the sign is marked “Corn States Des Moines”. The sign is made from tin and is in good overall condition. It measures 15.75″ x 17.75″

28 – Life Of Kit Carson By Charles Burdett 1st Ed. This lot features a 1st Ed. novel, Life of Kit Carson: The Great Western Hunter and Guide by Charles Burdett. Published by the John E. Potter company circa 1869, 1st Ed. it tales the thrilling tale of Kit Carson and his adventures in the west. The book is in great condition for its age. Measures: 7 1/2″ L x 51/2″W x 1 1/2″ thick.

29 – Early Alphabet Sampler Rhode Island Dated 1795 This is a very early original needle point alphabet sampler by Mary Norie dated 1795. Marie Norie was the Great Grandmother of Grace Edith Warner Burnham wife of Walter W. Burnham. This is from the Anne Burnham Moore Estate, a direct relative of Elias Boudinot IV the fourth President of the United States Continental Congress in 1782-1783. The very early rare piece depicts several lines of the alphabet in various complex stitched patterns. The sampler appears to be in its original frame. The piece shows overall well preserved condition for being over 200 years of age. This is truly a museum quality piece. The Burnham family was from Providence, Rhode Island and were instrumental in politics, town founding’s, and other major events. Measures: 13 1/2″ H x 13″ W.

30 – Antique 14K Gold & 2ct Blue Sapphire Brooch This is an excellent antique 14k yellow gold and 2 carat beautiful blue sapphire brooch. The piece was appraised by Greenleafs Jewelry Inc. in Bozeman, MT as being the following: One sapphire brooch. 14K yellow gold, brooch mounting, 50mm x 5.5mm wide with eleven round, faceted, A quality, blue sapphires totaling approximately two carats, tube set in a line tapering in size at each end. 2.65 DWT. Valued over $1,800.00. The piece shows excellent quality and is in very good condition. Marked, 14K.

31 – Vintage Hot Pop Popcorn Warmer This is a Hot Pop popcorn warmer. The warmer features a large globe shaped reservoir on top with a heat lamp inside to keep the popcorn warm. The base has a lever that, when pulled, will release the popcorn to fall down the chute. The popcorn warmer is in good condition. It measures 16″ in diameter and is 33″ tall.

32 – Antique Collection of Radioactive Red Fiestaware This lot features a collection of 7 fiestaware pieces which are radioactive red. Radioactive red fiestaware is known for having a detectable amount of uranium oxide in its glaze, which produced the orange-red color. out of the seven pieces three are marked with the handwritten fiesta while the other four are rarer unmarked pieces of fiestaware. Each piece in in good condition for its age. 32a – Collection Of Original Fiestaware China This lot features a collection of form th original line of Fiestaware China. This lot includes 31 pieces some form rare color sets and some are highly sort after designs. All pieces are form the original line that began production in 1934 and ceased in 1973. All pieces are in good condition.

33 – KA-BAR Knife & Hatchet with Elk Hide Scabbard The lot features a Ka-Bar Knife and Ka-Bar Hatchet in a custom Montana Elk Hide Leather Scabbard. KaBar Knife and Hatchet. The hatchet show a stainless construction with stacked leather and brass handle, 1331 Model style. The knife is a rare and shows a nickel pommel with stainless steel blade and Stag Antler Horn handle. The knife is in a rare gamblers dagger fighting knife style. The hatchet is 11.75″L x4″W. Knife is 9.25″L with a 5.25″L blade. Knife and scabbard in sheath are 12.5″L x 4 7/8″. Sheath made in Ennis, Montana.

34 – Bozeman Bottling Works Seltzer Bottle Montana This is a seltzer bottle from the Bozeman Bottling Works in Bozeman, Montana. The bottle has an applied color label with wonderful graphics. The siphon is marked “Bozeman Bottling Wks.”. The bottle is in good overall condition with no chips or cracks. The bottle does show moderate haze. The seltzer bottle measures 4″ in diameter and is 11.75″ tall.

35 – Anaconda Brewing Company Seltzer Bottle Montana This is a seltzer bottle from the Anaconda Brewing Company in Anaconda, Montana. The bottle features an applied color label with the siphon that is marked “SY LITE SELTZER”. The Anaconda seltzer bottle is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or other visible damage. It measures 4″ in diameter and is 11.75″ tall.

36 – Damascus & Micarta CFK Knife Skinner with Scabbard This is a hand crafted custom knife from CFK Cutlery Company. The knife has a hand forged folded 512 Layer Twist (1095HC/15N20) Damascus Steel Blade with a fitted Micarta grey and blue scale tactical handle. The knife or skinner has excellent folded Damascus steel showing great detail. The knife and sheath are both all hand custom made in the USA. Rare unmarked blade in a unique one of a kind style. Buffalo Leather Sheath. Knife is 10 5/8″L with a 5″L blade. Sheath and knife are 11″L. Knife is in excellent brand new condition.

37 – Dynamite Dangerous Keep Away Porcelain Sign This is a Dynamite Mining Porcelain Enamel sign showing bright blue and white coloring. Other exact signs are marked, “BSS SIGN WORKS 9-48″ with the number either the inventory code or dating the piece to circa 1948 (this sign is not marked on bottom edge). The sign shows very well preserved condition (possibly new old stock), but does shows minor chipping on the edge. The sign measures 12″ x 24″.

38 – Chinese Chippendale Coffee Table c. 1800-1850 The lot features a rare Chinese Chippendale wonderfully carved coffee table from the early to mid-19th century. The piece shows exquisitely carved Bat figures with tied tongues into knots lattice work. The piece is from the Anne Moore estate, a direct relative of Elias Boudinot IV (born 1740 died 1821) President of the Continental Congress in 1782-1783. The piece is possibly directly from the Elias Boudinot IV estate where many a great men would have sat around including George Washington on the night before his Presidential Inauguration. The table shows some wear across the top and signs indicative of age, but overall in good condition for its age. The carvings are in excellent quality. Measures: 33″ L x 19″ W x 12″ H.

39 – Early American Dresser 19th to 20th C. This lot features an early chest of drawers dresser from the 19th to early 20th century. . The dresser has 5 drawers. It is in good overall condition for its age. The dresser does show signs of wear. Measures: 38″ H x 19 1/2″ D x 40″ W

40 – Antique Early Galvanized Honey Extractor This lot features a antique early galvanized steel honey extractor. Early me or women would put comes into the baskets and spin the them until the honey followed to the bottom. The piece is in good condition for its age. Measures:30 1/2″ H x 20 ” diameter

41 – Sitting Bull and the Indian War Book 1st Edition This is an original rare first edition book in the clear dust cover of “Sitting Bull and the Indian War” by W. Fletcher Johnson. The front cover shows a portrait of Sitting Bull with an Indian War scene below and Major General Miles, U.S. Deputy Bartlett. Marked on the cover Ghost Dance. This book was printed in 1891 and is a first edition. It tells the story of Sitting Bull and his tragic death. The book contains several illustrations as well. The book is in fair condition showing wear indicative of age. The book also has a clear dust cover. The book has excellent illustrations and was published Edgewood Publishing Co. It measures 5.5″ x 8. Rare and desirable book.

42 – Pine Ridge Pottery by Ella Irving 1920-1930’s This is a rare collection of original early pottery from the Pine Ridge Sioux Reservation in South Dakota circa 1920-1930’s. Each piece is by the most prominent Pine Ridge Reservation potters, Ella Irving. The lot includes an exceptionally rare vase with a cream and sugar set. These are carved and polychrome painted with each being signed on the bottom, “E. Irving”. Very rare uncommonly seen Pine Ridge Pottery. Vase is 4 7/8″H x 3 5/8″ diameter. Bowl is 3 3/8″ diameter x 2″H. Creamer is 4.5″x3.5″ x 2″H.

43 – Antique Shur-Snap Colonial Swicthbalde Circa 1950 This lot features a Shur- Snap Colonial Swicthbalde circa 1950. Colonial Knife was incorporated in 1926 by the Paolantonio brothers. The company produced there Shur- Snap Swicthbaldes throughout the 1950s with several different designs. This knife features rare the fish tale design with white handle. The piece is in good condition for its age . Measures: 7 1/4″ L x 3 1/2″ blade length.

44 – C.M. Russell Boyhood Sketchbook This is a limited edition printing of “CM Russell Boyhood Sketchbook”. The book was published in 1972 by R.D. Warden as a compilation of very early pencil sketches by Russell. The book has been bound in leather and comes in the original box. The book is numbered 236/300 and shows very good condition. It measures 11.25″ x 11.5″.

45 – Farmers Pride Food Products Advertising Banner This is an original Farmers Pride Food Products advertising banner. The banner is made from canvas and reads “Farmers Pride Extra Quality Food Products Hulman & Company Terre Haute, Ind.”. The banner shows good overall condition with minor wear. It measures 17.25″ x 36″.

46 – 1955 Western Winchester Advertising Lithograph This is an original Western Winchester advertising lithograph from 1955. The litho shows a whitetail deer jumping over the rocks with a hunter in pursuit. The bottom is marked “Copyright 1955 Olin Mathieson Chemical Corporation” and “Especially Painted for Western-Winchester”. The original painting was cone by J.G. Woods. The lithograph is in good condition with great color and graphics. The frame measures 29.25″ x 43″.

47 – 1955 Western Winchester Advertising Lithograph This is an original Western Winchester advertising lithograph from 1955. The original painting was done by Weimer Pursell and shows the cottontail rabbit with a hunter in pursuit. The litho is marked at the bottom “Copyright 1955 Olin Mathieson Chemical Corporation” and “Especially Painted for Western Winchester”. The litho is in good overall condition. The frame measures 29″ x 42.75″.

47a – 1909 Field & Stream Advertising Print This is an original Field & Stream advertising print from 1909. The print is titled “Hey There” and shows a pair of bird hunters getting chased off by the farmer. The print is marked “Copyright 1909 by Field & Stream Publishing Co.”. The original painting was done by Edward Brewer. The print shows fair condition with moderate water damage as shown. The frame measures 18″ x 24.25″.

48 – E.A. Prescott Star Model 41 Revolver c.1870’s This is an original early E.A. Prescott Star Model No. 41 .41 Rimfire five shot revolver from circa 1870’s. The Post Civil War revolver shows a nickel finish brass frame with walnut grips and spur trigger. The revolver is marked across the top, “(star) No. 41”. The handgun shows some loss to the nickel on the cylinder and octagon 2.5″ barrel, but otherwise appears to be in good condition for its age. Trigger and hammer appear to function well. Exceedingly rare early revolver. Indian Wars US Cavalry Officers private purchase boot or pocket pistol. The revolver is manufactured in the 1870’s, pre-1898 and NO FFL is required.

49 – Mediterranean Naval Percussion Conversion Pistol This is a circa 1809-1830 Mediterranean Naval Dragoon Flintlock pistol with a Percussion Conversion in a .72 caliber. The pistol shows brass trigger guard, brass pommel, and brass front cap all marked with a crown over a “P”. Top of the barrel attachment is marked, “I.E. AN”. A near exact pistol shows other markings such as, “R 1809” and a “J” (this pistol’s marks are worn illegibly). The pistol does not have a trigger. The piece is 14″L overall with a 7 7/8″L barrel. Rare large caliber and scarcely seen Mediterranean Naval Military issue pistol. NO FFL.

50 – Plains Reuben Fox Percussion Rifle c.1820-1837 This is an early American Pennsylvania Half Stock Percussion Rifle by Reuben Fox traded to the Plains Native American Indians. The rifle is marked on the side lock plate on a banner, “RB” and was crafted by Reuben Fox of Metal Township, Pennsylvania circa 1820-1837. Reuben Fox was a maker of Half Stock and Full Stock rifles from 1818-1837. This rifle shows a percussion hammer with a 39.5” full octagon barrel in a .34 caliber. The rifle also features a bronze brass trigger guard and bronze brass crescent shoulder butte plate. The rifle shows excellent quality with early pattern set trigger indicative of its early age. The rifle hammer does not appear to function. Ram rod is a modern replacement. Early American and Early Firearm History.

51 – Evening Glow Oil on Canvas by E. John Robinson This is an original work of art oil on canvas painting titled, “Evening Glow” by renowned artist, E. John Robinson. E. John Robinson (American 1932-2008) a Oregon born artist, was one of the most notable and desired artist in the landscape seascape field. Not only were his works and techniques far advanced to any other seascape artist he also produced many instructional books. The piece shows a rich and detailed seascape painting that is signed lower right. This is in a wood frame and is marked on the back of the canvas frame. Canvas is 18″x24″. Frame is 20.5″x26.5″.

53 – Henningsen Company Butte Montana Advertising Sign This is an original Henningsen Company advertising sign from Butte, Montana. This is a double sided flanged sign that reads “Cream Poultry and Egg Depot Henningsen Company Butte, Montana The Original Cash Buyers”. The sign shows good overall condition on one side and fair condition in the other. The sign measures 18.5″ x 28.5″.

54 – On Blue Grouse Ridge Elk Bronze by Terry Murphy This is an original work of art bronze sculpture by renowned Montana artist, Terry Murphy. The piece is titled in the bronze and on a brass plaque, “On Blue Grouse Ridge”. This shows a very large Rocky Mountain Montana Elk sculpture with Blue Grouse taking flight below the belly of the elk. Terry Murphy has a unique wildlife and Native American Indian style with darkened typical patina accents and polished bronze accents. The piece shows very good quality and condition and is signed limited edition 8/36. The piece is signed in the bronze and dated 1993. This series is completely sold out and very hard to come by. 55 – Remembering Will James Sandy Scott Bronze Book End The lot features a set of original work of art bronze book ends by artist, Sandy Scott. The pieces are titled, “Remembering Will James” and are hand signed, dated 1995 and limited edition numbered (matching) 45/100. The book ends are matching and sit on a walnut plaque. Each is signed as shown. Sandy Scott was born in Dubuque, Iowa in 1943 and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, she is now headquartered in Lander, Wyoming. Will James (1892-1942) was one of the greatest artist and writer of the American West. These were sold at Montana Trails Gallery in Bozeman for nearly $3,000 in the 1990’s. 56 – Zuni Turquoise Petit Point & Silver Squash Blossom This is a Zuni Native American Indian Old Pawn silver squash blossom with an excellent Petit-Point Turquoise design. The early sterling silver piece shows a rich bright gem quality turquoise from the Easter Blue Turquoise Mine, also called Blue Gem and Blue Mountain. The piece shows twelve fluted blossoms and a fantastic squash. This shows very good condition and has a double strand of round silver beads strung on necklace cable. Squash blossom is 2 3/8″x2″. Necklace is overall 29″L.

57 – Blackfoot Bear Paw Sheath & Hudson Bay Dag c.1840 The lot features an exceedingly rare original Hudson Bay Co. “HB” hallmarked beaver tail dag knife from circa 1830-1850 and Blackfoot Bear Paw effigy beaded dag knife sheath. The knife shows a beaver tail dag forged iron blade with brass hilt and wood handle showing inlaid rivet iron and brass. The sheath is Indian tanned hide constructed with red ocher dye and black dye accents with 19th century glass trade seed beads in greasy yellow, semi-transparent red, and a black bear paw claw. The dag knife is 12 3/8″L x 2.5″W with a 7.5″L blade. Sheath is 16 5/8″L x 3.5″W.

58 – Lakota Sioux Pipe Tomahawk 19th Century This is a forged iron Lakota Sioux Native American Indian Pipe Tomahawk from the 19th century. The piece also shows a mineral red and black painted file branded and brass cover iron tacked wood haft. The tomahawk head shows the deep bowl and mid to late 19th century pattern indicative of its age. Provenance: From a large early Native American Indian private collection in Iowa. The piece displays very well and shows overall good museum quality condition. Early tomahawk iron head. Measures overall 21″L with a 9 3/8″L x 3 3/8″W x 1 5/8″D tomahawk pipe head.

58a – Civil War GAR Veteran Reunion Banner c.1870-1880 This is a Civil War Grand Army of the Republic reunion banner. The GAR was an organization for veterans who served with the Union forces, stood for “Grand Army of the Republic”. This banner is from a reunion held in the circa 1870-1890. It reads “Welcome Comrades” and shows the GAR seal with an eagle, flag and 5 point star. The banner was made on linen and shows good overall condition. There is a minor stain above the “M” as shown. The frame measures 24.75″ x 35.5″.

59 – Great Lakes Indian Pipe Tomahawk 19th Century This is a Great Lakes Native American Indian Pipe Tomahawk from the second to third quarter of the 19th century. The tomahawk has a forged iron head with deep bowl, a gently tapered haft showing a beautifully striped and richly patina Tiger Maple wood having an Ivory mouth piece and Ivory clean out plug. Exceedingly rare Ivory accents. Provenance: From a large Native American Indian private collection in Iowa. This is the finest museum quality from the large collection. The piece shows well preserved museum quality very good condition and displays very well. The Ivory included in this piece is over 140-180 years old. Measures overall 20 1/8″L with a 7.5″L x 2.25″W x 1″D forged iron head.

Inside the back cover is the original fold out map. This also features many fantastic engraving illustrations from the park. The book is a First Printed Revised First Edition printed in 1909 by Rogers & Smith Co. Chicago and Published by H.E. Klamer Upper Basin, Yellowstone Park Wyoming. The Yellowstone National Park guide is in good condition showing the Yellowstone Grizzly Bear with red/white/blue banner and gold lettering. This includes the rare original map of Yellowstone National Park, Montana, Wyoming, Idaho printed in 1905 by Woodward & Tiernan Printing (titled, “Map of the Yellowstone National Park Tourist Routes, Old Wagon Roads, Hot Springs Formation, Bridle Trails). It measures 5.25″ x 7″.

69 – Colt Single Action Army Revolver 32 Revolver 1907 This is an original pre-WWII First Generation Colt Single Action Army (SAA) Revolver in a .32 W.C.F. caliber. The rare Colt Peacemaker Model 1873 firearm matching with a serial number of 288799 manufactured in circa 1907. The firearm appears to be a .32/20 W.C.F. caliber (the second least produced caliber available, rare) with a 4.75” barrel and is in a rare nickel finish. Marked on left side of frame, “PAT SEPT.19.1871. JULY 2.72 JAN.19.75. (showing faintly the round logo with Rampant Colt inside)”, marked on the underside of the frame and trigger guard “288799”, marked on grip frame “288799”, top of barrel is worn with only “(U.)S.A. –“ showing, and the back of the loading gate is marked with the assembly number “5105”. The piece shows the original set of black hard rubber grips that are checkered and have the Rampant Colt trademark in an oval at the top of the grip. The shotgun shows the correct hallmarks proof marks for being made in Belgium by Leige est. 1857 from circa 1857-1880’s. The top of the barrel is marked, “Belgium Real Twist” and the wood stock shows excellent checkering. The hammers show engraving. Rare black powder early Belgium shotgun. 29.5″L barrel and 12 gauge. 73 – Providence Marine Society Member Certificate 1815 This is an excellent early piece of American history and shows a Providence Marine Society Membership Certificate dated the 4th day of July 1815. The piece is for Samuel Warner. The piece shows a rich nautical etching with original Seal of the Society. The piece is in an early wood frame. Provenance: The piece is from the Anne Moore estate, a direct relative of Samuel Warner. Both Samuel and Anne were both direct relatives of Elias Boudinot President of the Continental Congress 1782-1783. Samuel Warner was a prestigious Captain. The frame measure “x”. 74 – Painting of Elisha Warner by Thomas Sully c. 1839 This is an original work of art portrait painting of Elisha Mann Warner (1818-1884) at the age of 21, circa 1839. The piece is attributed to artist Thomas Sully (1783-1872) an American portrait painter, who was born in Britain but lived most of his life in Philadelphia. Provenance: The piece is from the Anne Burnham Moore estate, a direct relative of Elias M. Warner. Both Elias and Warner were both direct relatives to Elias Boudinot President of the Continental Congress 1782-1783. The family had direct relations with such pieces of American History like George Washington and Marquis de Lafayette, both of which had portraits by Thomas Sully. The piece shows a simple gilt gold wood frame with early period stretched canvas and paint. The piece shows a rich deep coloring. Elisha M. Warner was son of Captain Samuel Warner (of the Providence Marine Society Certificate listed previously). The piece overall is in well preserved condition for its rich age (shows a slight puncture as pictured). Reverse marked as shown. Frame is 36.25″x31.25” and 2 3/8″ thick. Canvas frame is 29.75″x24.75”.

75 – State of Rhode Island Civil War Recognition 1869 This is an original early State of Rhode Island Civil War Recognition Accolades from 1869 issued to George Henry Burnham (1832-1907). The piece is issued from Ambrose Burnside Governor of Rhode Island 1866-1869. This is in a small wood frame and shows some slight signs of age as shown. Provenance: This piece is from the Anne Burnham estate, Anne was a direct descendant of Elias Boudinot President of the Continental Congress 1782-1783. George H. Burnham was also a high ranking General in the Masonic Order. Early piece of American History. Frame measures 12.75″x16.75″. The piece is made by the American Bank Note Company.

76 – George H. Burham Ivory & Gold Cane Civil War 1860 This is a rare Ivory and Gold handled wood walking cane from George Henry Burnham (1832-1907). The cane dates to Civil War era 1860’s where George H. Burnham served with notability and honor and was from Providence, Rhode Island. This is the same George Henry Burnham that was issued the State of Rhode Island Civil War Recognition 1869 certificate listed previously. This piece is from the Anne Burnham estate, Anne was a direct descendant of Elias Boudinot President of the Continental Congress 1782-1783. George H. Burnham was also a high ranking General in the Masonic Order. Early piece of American History. The handle shows a rich solid Ivory handle with hand relief etched carved rich yellow or rose Gold accent band that is etched, “Geo. H. Burnham, Providence, R.I.”. The cane has a wood construction with metal rod reinforcement and shows very well preserved Museum quality condition. Measures 36 3/8”L with a 4.75”W x 1 1/8” thick handle. The Ivory in this piece is guaranteed to be over 150 years old and taken legally.

76a – Portrait of Elias Boudinot IV by Charles W. Peale This is a very important and historic Portrait of Elias Boudinot IV in circa 1776-1778 attributed to Charles Willson Peale. Elias Boudinot IV (B.1740-1821) was the fourth President of the United States Continental Congress from 1782 to 1783. Boudinot was a Member of the Continental Congress (1777-1788; 1781-1784), served in the First Congress of 1789, he signed the “Treaty of Paris” with Great Britain ending the Revolutionary War as at the time he was the acting President. Boudinot was also the Commissary-General of Prisoners and in 1795 was appointed as Third Director of the United States Mint by George Washington. The painting is attributed to Charles Willson Peale (1741-1827) along with the other available portrait of Boudinot in the Princeton University Collection by Peale. The painting is said to be done in circa 1776 when Boudinot would have been 36 years of old. The piece is from the Anne Burnham Moore Estate collection, a direct relative of Elias Boudinot IV. Included is the documentation of Anne Burnham Moore’s direct lineage to Elias Boudinot IV (from 1952-1953), note written by Anne explaining the pieces origin, The Boudinot Mansion Commemoration Pamphlet from 1943, news clipping from the Boudinot Mansion Commemoration, and Elias Boudinot by Donald W. Whisenhunt a New Jersey Historical Commission book from 1975. This is the earliest portrait of Elias Boudinot IV and the only known portrait from a private collection to be available for sale. At the time of the painting Boudinot would have been serving as the Commissary-General for Prisoners as appointed by General George Washington, his close friend, was commissioned as a Colonel in the Continental Army and appointed the New Jersey delegate in the 2nd Continental Congress. The piece shows wear indicative of its early age (240 years old) and is in its original frame. Frame is 33.25”x30.25” and artwork is 29″x26”. Believed to be marked on the back, “Charles (possibly) Peale” and “Boudinot” in very light signature as shown.

The Zapotec are significant because 400 years ago the Spanish missionaries taught the Navajo and Zapotechow to weave, these practices are still mastered today in both Zapatec and Navajo Tribes. The rug is in very good condition. It has been appraised at $2750 in value. The rug measures 79″ x 134.5″.

96 – Winchester Model 94AE XTR 30-30 Chevy Outdoorsman This is a Winchester Model 94AE XTR lever action repeating carbine in a .30-30 caliber in the Chevy Outdoorsman Edition 1985. The rifle is in like new unfired condition and is the limited special edition 1985 Chevy Outdoorsman rifle. The rifle shows the rich blue finish with excellent genuine American Walnut stock having the brass round Chevrolet medallion inlaid. The rifle has a serial number of 5365830 manufactured in 1985. The rifle has great wood checkering and displays very well. The rifle has a 20″ barrel. These rifles were only offered to Chevy customers who purchased the additional Outdoorsman package on a vehicle offered at only a few dealerships, very rare. Some handling wear. 97 – Remington Model 700 .240 Win. Rifle This is a Remington Arms Co. Model 700 bolt action rifle in a desirable .243 WIN. caliber. The rifle shows a deluxe checkered walnut wood stock with dark blue rich finish and a deluxe jeweled bolt. The rifle shows minimal handling wear, but overall in very good condition. Serial number B6424348. Has Leupold scope mount. Barrel coded “RC47”.

98 – US Springfield Model 1873 Trap Door Carbine c.1874 This is an early rare U.S. Springfield Model 1873 Trap Door single shot carbine in a 45-70 Gov’t. The piece was manufactured from Jan-Mar. 1874 and has a serial number of 10,551. The carbine falls into the general range for the U.S. 7TH Cavalry Custer Battle of the Little Bighorn and the U.S. 2ND AND 3RD Cavalry units which accompanied Custer in and around Fort Abe Lincoln. The Springfield carbine has a 22″ round blue finish barrel. The carbine has a serial number of 10,551 placing this as a second year carbine circa 1874. Very rare early piece. The piece shows all the correct markings including, “Model 1873 (eagle head and crossed arrows) U.S.” on the top of the trap door, “10551” on the receiver frame, “U.S. Springfield (with the eagle holding the shield and arrows)” on the lock plate, “U.S.” marked metal crescent butte plate, and “A” marked trigger guard/trigger frame. 109 – Southern Plains Child’s Painted War Shirt 1920-30 The lot features an excellent Southern Plains Native American Indian mineral painted war shirt style child’s shirt. The shirt is from circa 1920-1930’s. The piece shows exquisite long cut fringe along the underside of both items with a triangle cut chest accent with long cut fringe along the bottom edges. The shirt shows a yellow ocher dye and mineral turquoise accenting the center. Proveance: From a large private Billings, Montana Native American Indian collection. This is one of the finest early 1900 child’s Indian tanned hide shirt available outside a museum. Measure overall 55.5″W x 24″H with the arm fringe being as long as 16.5″L.

110 – Blackfoot Beaded Parfleche Sheath & Snake Knife This is a Blackfoot Native American Indian parfleche mineral painted knife sheath with pony beadwork. The lot comes with an exceedingly rare 19th Century Snake Brand Sheffield Bowie Trade Knife. The knife is marked, “Snake Brand Sheffield” with the underlined snake brand and shows a copper riveted wood handle. The sheath is all parfleche and parfleche sewn construction with mineral yellow ocher and red painted design. The sheath also has a tine jingle cone fringe with chalk white and sky blue glass early to mid 19th century pony trade beads that are sinew sewn. Rare set from the 19th century. The knife is 11 3/8″L with a 6.75″L blade that is 1 3/8″W. Sheath and knife are 23.5″L with fringe x 3 1/8″W.

111 – Oil on Board “In Port” by Edward Norton Ward This is an original work of art oil painting on board titled, “In Port” by Edward Norton Ward. Edward Norton Ward (b.1928-) is a native Californian and was a student of the late Joshua Meador. He is a member in the Carmel Art Association (where he served as president for 3 years) and is an Artist Member of the California Art Club and Charter Member of the Society of American Impressionists. He is known for his impressive paintings of Northern California, Taos, Sante Fe, Montana, and Alaska. The painting is signed lower right and shows various impressive boats at harbor. The piece shows beautiful quality and is professionally framed in gilt wood. The painting is 24″x30″ (one of the larger examples of his works). The frame is 33.25″x39.25″. This sold from Miner’s Gallery Americana Inc. Carmel, Calif. in the 1970-1990’s for nearly $3,000.

113 – Miles City Montana Roundup Rodeo Banner Early 1900 This is an original Miles City Roundup Rodeo banner from the early 1900’s. The center portion of the banner shows a cowboy riding a bucking bronco. Red, white and blue banners are on the left and right sides. The rodeo banner is in good condition. It measures 37″ tall and is 172″ long.

114 – Comical History of Montana 1st Ed. circa 1912 This is a scarce original first edition of The Comical History of Montana: A Serious Story for Free People by Jerre C. Murphy. Many if not nearly all the original first edition copies of this book were burnt and destroyed as this book was against the Amalgamated Copper Company (ACC), anti-mining propaganda. The book is a first edition first printing from the press of Frye & Smith San Diego, Cal. and published by E.L. Scofield Publishers San Diego, California 1912. Paper covers of this edition cost $1.00. Described as, “Being an Account of the Conquest of America’s Treasure State by Alien Corporate Combine, the Confiscation of its Resources, the Subjugation of its People, and the Corruption of Free Government to the uses of Lawless Enterprise and Organized Greed employed in ‘Big Business'”. The book shows the original paper binding showing signs of age with the book showing all the 332 pages in overall good condition for their age. Measures 6″x9.25″ and 1″ thick. Re-prints of this book sell for a range of $2,500 to $499 with this being the only available true first edition.

115 – Little Big Man by Thomas Berger 1st Ed. circa 1964 This is a first edition of the famed novel by THomas Berger, “Little Big Man”. The basis for the award-winning 1970 movie, of the same name, starring Dustin Hoffman and Faye Dunaway. The rare book is from The Dial Press New York 1964. The piece shows a black clothe binding with original graphic red dust cover as shown. Overall good condition with signs of use. Smead was a United States Indian Agent for nearly seven years in charge of the Flathead Indian Reservation. From the Pioneer Press MFG. Dept. St. Paul. Minn. copyright 1905. Rare original red/black/gold clothe binding showing excellent detail and slight signs use indicative of its early age, otherwise in very good condition. These have four hundred illustrations engravings from Catlins original paintings by Catlin without color (rare). These were written during George Catlin’s eight year travel amongst the wildest tribes of Indians in North American in 1832, 33, 34, 35, 36, 37, 38, and 39. Similar Egyptian Hall, Piccadilly published works of George Catlin have sold for between $200,000 and $40,000. Provenance: From the private collection of J.D. 140 – 50 Years in the Saddle by Ricketts 1st Ed. Signed This is an original rare first edition circa 1942 hand signed book titled, “50 Years In The Saddle” by W.P. Ricketts. The piece shows the original green clothe with black lettering hard cover and shows the signature only on the first page (not inscribed, rare). This book by William Pendleton Ricketts is one of the more rare and desirable early Western Wyoming books. This is from the Star Publishing Company Sheridan, Wyoming Publishers 1942. Marked on back of title page, “50 Years In The Saddle Copyright, 1942, W.P. Ricketts Printed in U.S.A. First Edition.” Privately printed for W.P. Ricketts who was blind when the book was published (only printed for his friends). This is a very scarce and rare first edition copy with this being the only very limited printing. Recollections of when he became a cowboy, roundups on the Platte, Indian raids, the winter of 1879-1880, booze and cattle won’t mix, his trip to Yellowstone National Park, the open range, and much more. Lightly rubbed at spine ends and corners, else a near fine tight copy of a book that was originally published for friends and now has become very scarce to rare. Some copies valued at over $3,750.00. Measures 9 1/8″x6 1/8″ x 3/4″ thick. Provenance: From the private collection of J.D. Weidenfeller in Missoula, Montana large early American collection.

141 – E. Garcia Silver Spurs Elko Star Horse Shoe This is a set of rare E. Garcia silver mounted spurs with a very scarce Elko Star and Horse Shoe pattern. The spurs are each marked, “E. GARCIA” and show overall good condition. These come with a set of studded leather spur straps in the shape of Montana with excellent silver mounted gambler suits (ace, club, diamond, and heart). The spurs are one of the more scarce E. Garcia patterns and have been in a private collection for 20 years. Each spur is 7″L x 4 5/8″W x 2 1/8″H (2 1/8″ rowels). Spur straps are 2.5″W. 144 – Original WWI Boy Scouts War Bond Poster This is an original WWI Boy Scouts of America war bond poster. The poster was created to bolster American support in the war effort by promoting Liberty Bonds. The poster shows a young scout presenting a sword to Liberty that is inscribed “Be Prepared”. The poster is in good condition. There is some moderate water staining near the bottom as shown. The frame measures 21.25″ x 31″.

145 – Original WWII VD Poster This is an original WWII VD poster. Along with other perils of war, the military also had to contend with soldiers contracting social diseases. Poster such as these were created in order to prevent such instances. The poster is marked in the lower left corner “AGPS 5.46. 70000. 3896.” and shows good overall condition. It measures 16″ x 22.5″.

146 – Colt Stagecoach .22LR Semi-Automatic Rifle This is a Colt Stagecoach Model .22 long rifle semi-automatic rifle. The rifle is marked on the top of the barrel, “Stagecoach Cal. 22 L.R. Colt’s PT. F.A. MFG. Co. Hartford, CT. U.S.A.” The receiver shows a factory etched gold like inlaid on both sides with the left showing an early Old West four horse stagecoach scene with early Frontiersmen marked, “Colt’s Patent” and the right side a paisley swirl accent. The rifle has a serial number of SC30134. The rifle is a saddle ring carbine with leather sling and is in like new nearly unfired condition. Handling signs. Early vintage rifle. The rifle is reminiscent of the early stagecoach short barrel rifles or shotguns.

147 – WWII Nazi SA Officers Dagger & Scabbard by Haenel This is an authentic original World War II Nazi German Officers dagger and scabbard manufactured by Haenel. The blade shows the MFG. hallmark, “Haenel (in an arrow) C.G. Haenel SUHL Waffen-U.Fahrrad- Fabrik” and with the etched inscription, “Alles für Deutschland” translating to “Everything for Germany”. The nickel hilt is marked with a small, “Sa”. The shaped wood handle shows the “SA” brown enamel round piece and Third Reich Reichsadler Eagle holding the Swastika inlaid in the center. This is a WWII German Nazi “Rohm” Sturmabteilung (Storm Troopers) dagger showing green scabbard. Dagger is 13.5″L with a 8 5/8″L blade. Dagger and scabbard are 14 5/8″L.

148 – Farmers Union Co-op Gasoline Pump Globe Lens 1938- This is an original new old stock set of rare Farmers Union CO-OP Gasoline National Co-Operatives glass gas pump globe lens. The lot features the complete set of two glass lens and appears to be in very good new old stock condition with the exception of a repaired break as shown. Reads, “Farmers Union Gasoline National CO-OP CO-Operatives”. The pieces from from circa 1938-1952. The glass is reverse painted and has crisp rare graphics. These are from the High Line of North Dakota. The pieces each measure 13.5″ in diameter. Other Co-op glass globes have been valued and sold for over $7,500. One of the earlier examples.

149 – Farmers Union Co-op Brand Paints Mercantile Sign This is an original authentic rare Farmers Union Brand Paints CO-OP mercantile advertising sign display rack. The circa 1930-1950’s piece shows signs of use, but overall is in good condition for its age. The back is marked with the manufacture, ” MFG. By Gross-Given Manufacturing Company St. Paul, Minn.” The piece measures 15.25″x23″. The piece is from the High Line of North Dakota.

151 – Anatolian Fine Persian Large Wool Rug This is a hand knotted rug from Kayseri, Central Anatolian (Cappadocia) region, Turkey. The rug is made with traditional hand spun and organic dyed wool on cotton (this rug has a very impressive sheen with highquality wool and cotton). The piece has a wonderful design and is from the 1960’s. Natural dyes used in Kayseri are those produced from wine leaves, wild mint, walnut shell and buckthon. This piece is inexcellent condition. This rug is in excellent condition with stunning colors. Measures 73.5″ wide and 121.5″ long.

156 – Hudson Bay North West Co. Silver Cross c. 1820’s The lot features a Hudson Bay Co. of Montreal, Canada & North West Co. silver trade cross from circa 1820’s. The piece shows a silver etched trade cross hallmarked, “HB”, “NWCO” and “XY G.” The cross shows the rare three bar religious cross and is on a sinew strung necklace showing excellent Northern Plains Native American Indian 18th to 19th century glass trade beads such as: wound sand glass semi-transparent beads, wound pound beads in sky blue, green, pink, and chalk white, copper trade beads. The North West Co. was forced by the British Government to merge with the Hudson Bay Co. in circa 1821 with this piece being from that era. This comes in a black display box with glass top that is 12.25”x16.25”. Cross is 2.25”x 1 1/8”. Necklace is 28” strung.

157 – Great Lakes Ojibwa Twisted Stem Pipe 19th C. This is a Great Lakes Ojibwa Native American Indian twisted stem & catlinite pipe from the late 19th century. The pipe shows a “T” carved catlinite pipestone bowl from the 19th century showing good condition. The stem shows the twisted pattern in solid wood with a mineral painted edge in dark green. The piece comes in an excellent custom made oak locking glass top display shadow box. The piece is in very good museum quality showing an excellent design. Provenance: Recovered from a large Wisconsin Native American collection and comes from a private collection in Iowa. The pipe measures overall 27″L. Bowl is 6 1/8″L x 3 3/8″H x 1.25″W. Case is 29 7/8″L x 12 1/8″D x 3″ thick. Excellent Twisted wood stem with tight curl.

158 – Plains Buffalo Stem & Catlinite Pipe Early 1900 The lot features a Plains Native American Indian carved wood stem & catlinite pipe from early to mid 1900’s. The piece shwos a carved scraped pipestone catlinite “T” pipe bowl and carved wood pipe stem showing mineral painted black and red Buffalo effigy. The piece has the traditional gorget style design with overlaid hand etched silver plated like iron accent across the front showing the portrait of the “Drunken Indian” holding a bottle and war club. 163 – Shoshone Beaded Doeskin Vest 20th Century This is a Shoshone Native American Indian exquisitely beaded Indian tanned doeskin vest. The 20th century piece front shows excellent floral beadwork with the back having various beaded rosette motifs with ermine hide tails. The vest has an early 1900 calico trade clothe floral lining. The vest shows little to no wear and appears to be a men’s Large size. The piece measures as it sits 24.5″H x 20.5″W.

164 – Northern Plains Elk Hide Cowboy Chaps 19th C. This is a set of early Indian Tanned Elk Hide chaps from the Northern Plains Native American Indians. The Chaps show a Western Cowboy style and are from the 19th century. The pieces have a fringed edge and with red and yellow mineral ocher dyed surface. These also have a harness saddle leather belt with buckle. The chaps are in supple condition with the surface having a waxy feel. These measure 37″H with each leg being 9.5″W with additional 4″ fringe.

164a – Navajo Centipede Effigy Pattern Saddle Blanket This is a rare Navajo Native American Indian Storm Pattern Centipede Effigy saddle blanket trade rug from the mid 20th century. The piece shows a very fine tightly hand knotted construction with rich dyed coloring and very good condition. The front edge shows added neon colored yarn with the bottom edge showing a grey/black yarn along the corners. The rare piece displays very well and shows little to no wear. The rug area without yarn measures 33″x28.5″. With the yarn the piece measures 40″x45”.

The 20th century jacket shows a fancy beaded edge with early trade glass pony beads in a dark maroon. The bottom edge of the arms and jacket show an excellent long cut fringe. 165 – Victorian Sterling Silver Tea Pot circa 1878 This lot features a unique sterling piece, a large tea pot that was made in London England and dates to 1878,the mid of queen Victoria’s reign. The pot has four marks.. One the lion indicates it is silver sterling. Next the cat face tells the location the piece was made, London England, Third the women facing right is a duty mark of queen Victoria placed there to tell if the item was taxed. 168 – WWII More Production Propaganda Poster by Ludekens This is an original rare World War II Propaganda “He’s A Fighting Fool – More Production” authentic poster by renowned artist Fred Ludekens. The poster reads, “He’s a fighting fool give him the best you’ve got – More Production” in the center, “(five pointed star) U.S. Government Printing Office 449797” bottom left, and “War Production Board-A3″ bottom right. The poster is signed in the art. Fred Ludekens (1900-1982) was an American artist and illustrator and devolved some of the most iconic war posters. The poster show a helmeted soldier manning a anti-aircraft weapon and has rich blue, black, and grey coloring. The WPB was a government agency established during WWII by US President, Franklin D. Roosevelt, in 1942 and replaced by the Civilian Production Administration in 1945. The piece has been shrink wrapped to matte board for display. Poster measures 27 7/8″x40”. All but four corners are in a triangle corner for display, corners have not been cut. The poster shows overall good condition for its age with signs of use including folding, tear on top, and loss to top corner. Can be rolled up or folded for shipping at the buyers request.

186 – Early Sterling Silver Creamer Dated 1796 Boundinot This lot features an antique sterling sliver creamer which date letter indicates it is form 1796. This creamer features many elegant designs that wrap around the cup. The explanation of marks is below. The Lion indicates it is sterling sliver. The face with crown tells it was made in London prior 1822. The date mark an A states it was made in 1796. Finally the man at the end is King George III’s duty mark. The creamer is in excellent condition for its age. Measures 5″ H x 4 1/2″ W x 2 1/2″ D. The piece is from the Anne Moore estate collection, Anne was a direct relative to Elias Boudinot President of the Continental Congress from 1782-1783. This piece is possibly from his original estate.

187 – Sioux Trade Mirror Dance Wand 19th-20th C. This is an original Sioux Native American Indian wood dance wand with rare round trade mirror inlaid. The 19th to 20th Century dance wand has brass covered iron trade tacks on a carved wood shaft having the inlaid mirror and round cut out. The piece displays very well and is a great example of an early style traditional dance wand. The piece has Indian tanned hide fringe loop. Measures 25.25″L x 4 5/8″W with additional 7″L fringe loop.

188 – Sioux Gunstock Spontoon Carved War Club 20th C. This is a 20th century Sioux Native American Indian spontoon blade and gunstock handle war club. The piece shows Grizzly Bear Claw carving effigy symbols on each side with carved edge along bottom and top. The piece shows the forged iron Revolutionary War Spontoon style blade. The piece also shows small brass trade tacks and red ocher dyed rawhide loop. Measures overall 26″L x 11″W with a 4 3/8″L blade.

188a – Southern Plains Hide Covered Bow 19th Century This is an excellent early Southern Plains Native American Indian hide covered wood bow from the 19th century. The piece shows a carved wood long bow with parfleche hide and dark patina or mineral painted finish covering. The center of the bow shows a woven netted grip. The piece shows no major cracks and displays very well. Excellent early Southern Plains Long Bow museum example. Measures overall 59.25″L. Rare length.

188b – Plains Indian Collection of Three Arrows 19th-20th The lot features a collection of three Plains Native American Indian wood shaft arrows from the 19th to 20th century. The first is an early circa 19th century Southern Plains arrow with worked wood shaft rawhide wrappings, ocher mineral painted accents, and a chert hafted early arrowhead. The other two are Plains or carved wood shaft arrows with rawhide wrappings, dyed turkey feather fletching with various 19th century glass trade beads, and forged iron arrowheads typical of the Apache or Sioux Native American Indians both being from the Late 19th to late 20th century. Southern Plains arrow is 25 5/8″L with a 1.5″L arrowhead. The other two are 25.25″L and 27″L respectively.

190 – Southern Plains Buffalo Thunderbird Shield 19th C. This is a Southern Plains Native American Indian Buffalo rawhide shield showing a Thunderbird effigy design from the 19th century. The piece has a rich parfleche rawhide Buffalo construction with trade clothe accenting the top an polychrome mineral painted Thunderbird across the center. The shield shows a stuffed Thunderbird effigy across the front with the beak being a Antler tang. The back shows a willow branch frame with the rawhide hand grasps. This is an exceptional museum quality piece in a very rare pattern. The piece is from the third to fourth quarter of the 19th century. Measures 25″H x 21.5″W. The shield also shows a hammered copper jingle cone with early glass trade beads.

191 – West Yellowstone Advertising Sign MT 1908-1950 This is an original advertising sign from West Yellowstone, Montana circa 1908-1950. The sign is from Eagle’s Curios in West Yellowstone, a business that was established in 1908. The sign was hand painted and shows a unique style. Eagle’s Curios changed their sign to the current model in the 1950-1960’s. The sign is in good overall condition. It measures 12.5″ x 72″. Provenance: From a Twin Falls, Idaho private collection and was recovered from West Yellowstone outside Yellowstone National Park.

197 – Iroquois Beaded Flat Bag 19th Century This is a Iroquois Native American Indian beaded work bag from the 19th Century. The piece shows excellent beadwork on both sides. The bag shows a rich construction with early trade clothes with glass trade seed beads in chalk white, greasy yellow, sky blue, green, translucent red, translucent pink, and Cheyenne pink bead fancy edge. 206 – Smith & Wesson New Model 3 .44-40 Revolver Trophy The lot features a double action top break over six shot revolver in a .44-40 caliber. The revolver is attributed to being a Smith & Wesson New Model 3 Frontier Target in .44-40 caliber. The revolver shows a very early age of circa 1870-1890’s. The revolver shows excellent hand engravings across the entire piece and was used as the High Cowboy Shooter Evans Ranch 2008 Trophy. The piece comes in a custom wood box as displayed. This is marked on the frame under the grips, “40” and above the cylinder on the top break latch, “40”. Bottom of frame is marked, “433” or “7433”. Top of barrel rib is worn, but is marked illegibly, “RE ISO”. The revolver has a 6″ barrel and short frame grip, rare. Hammer and trigger appear to function, but poorly. The custom box is 15″x11″ and 3.5″H. Review pictures for firearm manufacture, condition, and description correctness. NO FFL.

210 – Early North Plains Indian Trade Percussion Rifle The lot features a North Plains Native American Indian Trade Percussion Rifle in a .60 large caliber from circa 1830-1880. The rifle shows the ram rod and has Indian tanned hide supports holding the barrel and stock. 213 – Antique Copper Moonshine Still and Whiskey Jug This is an antique copper moonshine still and a salt glazed stoneware whiskey jug. The still is made from a large copper boiler fitted with a copper condensing coil. The still has a wonderful patina. The whiskey jug is marked with a “2” inside a heart. 216 – Hudson Bay Style Silver Trade Cross Montreal WS This is a Hudson Bay Fur Trade Co. style or type silver trade cross with black glass inlays. Other Hudson Bay Trade crosses of this style are from circa 1765-1825. The piece is hallmarked, “HB”, “WS, “MONTREAL”, and “WS”. The piece shows an early 19th century peace medal style presentation fabric collar. The cross appears to be solid silver with a much heavier construction than other trade crosses available. The trade cross is displayed in a black glass top case that measures 14.25″x20.25″. Cross is 6.5″x4.5″ (with top ring). Presentation collar and cross measure as they lay 19″H x 10.75″W. Cross is missing one inlay.

217 – Navajo Old Pawn Silver Turquoise Coral Bracelet This is a Navajo Native American Indian Old Pawn Silver early to mid 20th century bracelet. The piece shows an excellent bright gem quality turquoise stone from the Morenci Turquoise Mine and piece of deep branch coral. The piece is signed (indistinguishable). The pieces show 19th century glass trade seed beads in chalk white, Hudson Bay red white hearts, black, semi-transparent amber, semi-transparent navy blue, and faceted semi-transparent red. The pieces are beaded on a canvas trade clothe base with elastic back strap. Each shows slight bead loss, but overall great pieces. Each measures approx. 7.5″L x 1 7/8″W.

Provenance: From a large Iowa Native American Indian private collection and was recovered from Sciota Co., Ohio in the 20th century. The piece appears to be a light pipestone material. 220 – Kiowa Strike-A-Lite Fully Beaded Bag EXCELLENT The lot features a Kiowa Native America Indian wonderfully beaded Strike-A-Lite style bag. The front of the bag shows wonderful traditional beadwork pattern with 19th century style glass trade seed beads that are sinew sewn on saddle leather. The piece also features tin jingle cones with a round silver colored metal concho accenting the flap The beadwork shows various colors such as greasy yellow, semi-transparent green, and semi-transparent red. The bottom of the bag shows brass beads on braided Indian tanned hide fringe. The modern bag displays very well and is in the exact likeness of early 19th century rare Kiowa strike-a-lite bags. Provenance: From a large Wyoming Indian artifact private collection. The bag measures 5.5”L with an additional 5.5”L braided hide fringe x 3.5”W, and has a 4.5”L top strap.

221 – Oil on Board Butte Montana by Taylor Lynde This is an original work of art oil painting on board titled, “Veterans Day, ’02, Butte” by Taylor Lynde. Taylor Lynde is a fourth generation Montanan and was born in Great Falls, Montana. His works of art consist of excellent Impressionist Realism style landscapes of Historic Montana. The painting shows excellent quality and good condition. This is signed by the artist in the work, lower right. 222 – Franck Louissaint Haitian Original Oil Painting This is an original work of art oil painting on canvas by Haitian artist, Franck Louissaint. The piece shows a Haitian city scene with rich colors and exquisite quality. Frank Louissaint was born in Jacmel, Haiti in 1951 to a poor laborer. He showed excellent talent and was eventually discovered in his 20’s. He is considered one of the most renowned Haitian Artist. The piece is in very good condition. Signed lower middle and dated 2001. The piece is in an excellent designer custom gilt wood carved frame that is 49.75″x39.75″. Visible artwork is 40″x30″. His artwork sells for $5.79 sq.in. making this piece (one of his largest created) valued at $6,948.00.

235 – Panagra Panama Travel Advertising Poster c. 1963 This is an original Panagra travel poster of Panama. The poster depicts a traditional ethnic celebration at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Asuncion. The lower left corner of the poster is marked “Printed in U.S.A. 11/63″. The poster shows good overall condition. It has been affixed to a rigid backing. There are two small tears near the top as shown. The frame measures 29″ x 42.5”.

235a – Ski In Chile Panagra Advertising Poster c. 1962 This is an original rare Panagra Travel Advertising poster for skiing in Chile. The piece is a Litho. Made in the U.S.A. circa 1962. The piece shows bright graphics and colors with a very desirable subject matter. The Ski In Chile poster is one of the more desirable of the Panagra travel posters. The piece is marked lower left corner, “Litho. in U.S.A. 2-62.” Three of the corners are covered for mounting puposes. No corners have been cut. Panagra was the Pan American-Grace Airways (a joint venture between Pan American World Airways and Grace Shipping Company) which began operations in 1928 and ceased operations in 1967. Panagra began creating travel posters in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. These are scarce and desirable pieces. The piece can be rolled up for shipping. This has been shrink wrapped to matte board for display. Poster measures 28″x39.5″.

240 – Middle Eastern Flintlock Camel Rifle Blunderbuss The lot features an antique Middle Eastern Camel Flintlock Rifle. The decorative flintlock shows a short wood stock with pressed copper accent on forestock. The rifle has a caliber of .88 and would have been used more like a blunderbuss with any usable material used as the projectile. The piece shows heavy rust on the action with none of the pieces being able to move. Great display firearm. Measures overall 23″L. NO FFL.

242 – Northern Plains Beaded Ankle Cuffs circa 1890 This is a set of fully beaded rare ankle cuffs or moccasin tongue covers from the Northern Plains Native American Indians. The set is from circa 1890 and shows well preserved condition with little to no bead loss. The piece shows a trade clothe backing with Indian tanned hide and excellent 19th Century glass trade seed beads in chalk white, semi-translucent red, sem-translucent green, rare black, and blue. These would have been worn above the foot on the tongue area of the moccasin wrapping around the ankle. Rarely seen ankle cuffs. The pieces show a a five point star with crosses on either sides, four diamonds and the name “JOE” on the bottom. Each measures 9″x5 3/8″. Provenance: This is from a large Native American & Early American artifact private collection in Iowa.

243 – Apache Beaded Effigy Cradle Board 19th Century This is a Apache Native American Indian beaded cradle board or papoose showing wonderful glass seed trade beadwork from the 19th Century. The early piece shows a wood frame construction with Indian tanned hide having a rich mineral yellow ocher dyed finish. The board shows willow branches and a red trade clothe accent. This is in very well preserved condition and is a scarcely seen effigy or doll cradle. The piece measures 7.75″L x 4.5″W.

260 – Steatite Catawba Bear Effigy Pipe c. 1870-1925 COA This is an original authentic Catawba Native American Indian people hand carved Steatite Bear Effigy pipe from circa 1870-1925 with COA. Provenance: The piece was recovered in North Carolina and is from a large private Native American Indian collection in Iowa. This comes with a Certificate of Authenticity from Bannerstone Tom. The piece measures 5.75″L x 2 3/8″H x 1″W. Rare piece.

261 – Lunkenheimer No 3 Brass Visible Oil Pump 1895-1908 This is a circa 1895-1908 Lunkenheimer Co. Cincinnati, Ohio Oil Pump No. 3. The piece shows all solid brass construction with cylinder glass visible pump design and wood turned handle. The piece is marked on the top, “Lunkenheimer Co. Cincinnati, O. Oil Pump No. 3.” These exact style models were used by the Wright Brothers as prop shaft oilers on the first airplane ever built. These were also used on early Hit-And-Miss-Engines and Trains. The piece shows very well preserved condition with the rare cylinder glass. Same design as the visible gas pumps. The pump handle works and the piece appears to function (no oil tested for pump). Modern pipe fitting added for display use. Measures overall 8.5″H x 7 1/8″W with a 3″ modern pipe fitting stand. Rare piece. Originally valued over $350.

261a – Essex Brass Oiler Pump Early 1900 This is a G.B. Essex Brass Co. Detroit, Michigan Oiler from early 1900. The piece is stamped on the top, “G.B. Essex Brass Co. Essex Detroit, Mich.” The piece shows the early original wavy glass cylinder with rich solid brass construction. The pump handle moves and the oiler appears to function (not tested with oil). The piece shows well preserved condition. The Essex Oil Pump has the design of an early visible gas pump. This is mounted to a modern pipe fitting for display. Measures overall 12.75″H x 6.5″W x 4.5″D. Globe area is 5.5″H x 4.5″W with brass frame. Rare Piece.

267 – Pendleton Yellowstone Park Wool Blanket This is an original Pendleton Yellowstone Park trade blanket in the desirable Hudson Bay Beaver Point Blanket Style. The blanket is made from 100% pure virgin wool. The blanket has the Yellowstone Park tag that features the scarcely seen Buffalo logo. The blanket features a white or cream background with the iconic black, yellow, red, and green strips on the front and back. One of the mist well known and desirable styles of trade blankets. The Pendleton blanket is in good condition overall for its age (small stain see pictures for condition). It measures 61″ x 76″.

269 – USPRR Expedition & Survey Lithograph Deer Lodge MT This is an original USPRR Expedition & Survey lithograph of the Deer Lodge Prairie in southwest Montana. In the mid 1800’s, the U.S. Congress authorized an expedition to survey the land between the Mississippi river and the Pacific Ocean to determine the best routes for the railroads to establish for travel. This lithograph has a caption that reads “Hot Spring Mound, in the ‘Deer Lodge” Prairie, of the Rocky Mountains. The lithograph is in good overall condition with light water damage. The frame measures 10″ x 13.25″.

269a – USPRR Expedition & Survey Lithograph Collection This is a pair of USPRR Expedition & Survey lithographs. The first one shows St. Paul, Minnesota Territory and the second one shows Brown’s Falls in Minnesota. In the mid 1800’s, U.S. Congress authorized an expedition to survey the best route for the railroads to travel from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean. 270 – WWII German Concentration Camp Photographs This is a collection of four WWII German concentration camp photographs. The photographs were taken at the Dachau Concentration Camp in 1945 shortly after it was liberated by the Allied forces. The photographs have been matted and framed. 271 – Early Montana Leather Saddle Bags 19th-20th C. This is a set of early unmarked handmade tooled leather saddle bags believed to be from a Eastern Montana saddle maker. The saddle bags are very well crafted showing a rich heavy construction and detailed tooling. The bags show wear indicative of their early 19th to 20th century age. The bags display very well and are a collectible piece. These measure overall 31.5″L x 8.5″W. Provenance: From a large early Americana and early Montana history collection in Billings, Montana. These have cast brass and nickel silver buckles.

273 – Big Sky Carvers Wooden Duck Decoy Bozeman Montana This is an original carved wooden duck decoy made by Big Sky Carvers in Bozeman, Montana. The duck is a mallard drake that is all hand painted and shows very good condition. The bottom of the duck is marked “Big Sky Carvers Bozeman, Montana” and has been signed by the artist. The duck measures 6.25″ x 16.5″ and is 6.25″ tall.

275 – Original Dan Schnetter Wood Carving This is an original wood carving by renowned Montana artist Dan Schnetter. The carving portrays a Native American warrior chief with a buffalo horn headdress. The piece is carved from cottonwood and shows incredibly fine detail and artistic craftsmanship. The carving has been signed by the artist. The Dan Schnetter carving is in good condition. It measures 5″ x 7.5″ and is 13.25″ tall.

277 – Navajo Morenci Turquoise & Sterling Bracelet The bracelet shows an excellent polished large nugget turquoise on sterling silver construction by a Navajo Native American Indian Silversmith. The piece is hallmarked, “AG” and shows overall good condition. The piece shows an excellent Morenci Turquoise Mine gem quality center stone and feather or leaf silver design. Shipping measurements are 2 3/8″L x 2 1/8″H x 1.25″W. The bracelet has a wrist size inside circumference of 6.5″.

278 – Navajo Bear Claw Turquoise Coral Sterling Necklace This is a Navajo Native American Indian sterling silver trophy bear claw necklace signed, “ES STERLING”. The piece also shows an excellent design with Sleeping Beauty Turquoise and coral stones. The piece is also on a “Sterling” marked chain necklace. The pendant is 2.5″L. Necklace is 24.5″L.

279 – Blackfoot Beaded Tobacco Pouch 19th-20th C. This is a beautifully beaded tobacco pouch from the Blackfoot Native American Indians. The piece is from circa 19th to 20th century and shows a Indian tanned hide construction. The bag shows an excellent early traditional pattern beaded design with all 19th century glass trade seed beads in chalk white, semi-transparent red, medium green. The bag is very well made and displays very well. The bag shows little to no bead loss. Measures 10.5″L with fringe x 4.25″W.

280 – Dave Powell Original Blackfoot Indian Sculpture This is an original work of art mixed media sculpture handmade by renowned Western and Indian artist, Dave Powell (American, 20th Century). Dave Powell, born in Kalispell Montana, is son to one of the most well-known Cowboy artist of all time, Ace Powell and his wife renowned artist Nancy McLaughlin Powell. Dave also worked with Bob Scriver on creating the Lewis and Clark Sculpture in Fort Benton, Montana. The sculpture shows the likeness of a 19th century Montana Blackfoot Chief. The sculpture shows hand carved wood and worked claw construction with early original antique trade clothe clothing, early wool trade blanket, parfleche knife sheath, iron strike-a-lite and pouch, and rare original 19th century glass trade beads including scarce Hudson Bay red green heart beads. This is a very well-crafted piece and is exceedingly rare. Mounted to a piece of Birch. The back is hand signed by Dave Powell with a Western Star AND ’96. Measures 32” tall. Only a few of these have been offered for private sale. One sold at our auction in 2013 for $3,629.50 with premium, a collection of two for $6,048 at Leslie Hindman in 2014 with premium, and at Brian Lebel’s auction in 2006 for $2,400 with premium. Some of Dave Powell’s paintings have sold at auction for over $30,000. This is an original hand crafted work of art.

286 – Assorted Collection Of Early Unmarked Fiestaware This lot features a collection of 15 believed to be unmarked pieces of early fiestaware. Some of the older fiestaware pieces did not receive any markings and some pieces could not be marked due to style of the piec . However, the distinctive colors and rings that circle the exterior and bottoms of the pieces are easily recognizable as signs of true fiestaware. These pieces are in good condition for there age. 286a – Original Turquoise Fiestaware Dating 1937-1969 This lot features a collection of turquoise fiestaware dating 1937-1969. The collection is form the original fiestaware line. The turquoise color ran form 1937 till it was discontinued in 1969. All pieces, excluding the tea cup which they mostly went unmarked, are marked with the handwritten fiesta. The pieces are in good condition for the items age, however the teacup handle has been broken off and glued on. 286b – Assorted collection of Modern Fiestaware This lot features an assorted collection of modern fiestaware. After the company ceased production in 1973 fiestaware popularity skyrocket so much so that Homer Laughlin China Company reintroduced the product in 1983 and since many different companies have begun producing modern fiestaware. This lot contains over 50 pieces of modern fiestaware and silverware. Also included in this collection is a set of Fiesta modern glassware. The overall condition of the items is good for there age.

287 – Crow Floral Beaded Hide Pillow Cover 20th C. This is a floral pattern beaded Indian tanned hide pillow cover or pillow case from the Crow Native American Indians. The piece shows an age of mid 20th century with overall good condition. The piece has some fringe loss and only slight bead loss. The cover shows all Indian tanned hide construction with glass trade seed beads in various color such as Cheyenne pink, greasy yellow, semi-transparent yellow, sky blue, semi-transparent dark green, semi-transparent rose, and more. The pillow case is very well made and was recovered from a Montana Crow Reservation in early to mid 20th century. The case measures 24″x24″ with a 18.75″x18.75″. Early trade clothe backed. Sewn on each edge.

288 – Lakota Sioux Steer Horn & Hide Trade Knife 19th C. This is a from the Lakota Sioux Native American Indians and shows a steer horn carved Eagle fetish handle trade knife with steer hide knife scabbard. The scabbard shows a steer hide construction with hide sewn edge adorned with early red trade clothe. The knife shows a bowie style with cleaned blade showing some pitting near the end. Provenance: From a large private early American and Native American antique collection in Billings, Montana. Original owners believed the piece to be from the 19th century, circa 1840. Knife is 9 7/8″L with a 6″L blade. Knife and sheath are 15.5″L with top strap x 2.25″W. Please review pictures for age.

289 – Navajo Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Silver Necklace The necklace features the rare and desirable Sleeping Beauty Turquoise Mine stone with very unique feather and arrow fletching design. The copper expansion ring has also been marked and reads “They Shall Beat Their Swords Into Plowshares and Their Spears Into Pruning Hooks, Nation Shall Not Lift Up Sword Against Nation, Neither Shall They Learn War Anymore”. 324 – Vigilantes by Hoffman Birney 1st Ed. Circa 1929 This lot features a antique novel, Vigilantes by Hoffman Birney. Published by The Penn Publishing Company circa 1929, 1st Ed. it tells the history of the Montana vigilantes. In the first two months of 1864, the Montana vigilantes hanged 24 men, including Henry Plummer. While the group was technically illegal, they punished only genuinely guilty men but the waters are muddied with the hanging Jack Slade which seemed far less justified. The book is in good condition for its age. Measures: 8″ L x 5 1/2″ W x 1 3/4″ thick.

405 – M. 1912 Picket Pin For The U.S. Cavalry This lot features a M. 1912, U.S. cavalry picket pin with original leather sheath. This is one example of the experimental equipment designs for mounted troops during this period. A work which was issued in monthly parts from October 1820 to July 1821. the engraving tell the tale of Jerry Hawthorn, and his elegant friend Corinthian Tom, accompanied by Bob Logic, The Oxonian, in their Rambles and Sprees through the Metropolis of London. 445 – Chinese Red & Brown Jade Dragon Art Deco Carving This is a wonderful hand carved Chinese Amulet in a rich Red and Brown solid jade. The piece has a desirable Art Deco style and is believed to be from circa 1920’s. The amulet shows a center medallion with two conjoined and dueling dragons. The piece is in very well preserved museum quality good condition. Measures 2.75″ diameter.
